Wedge Anchors

Wedge Anchors

Wedge Anchors and expansion anchors function by creating a wedge effect with the anchor tip and expanding the collar to grip the side of the hole. When using wedge anchors or expansion anchors you must drill a hole with a proper depth and diameter into the concrete and clean it of all debris. Improper depth, diameter, or debris can cause damage to the anchor thereby reducing the anchor's strength.

Avoid damaging the anchor's shaft. Bent shafts and/or deformed threads reduce the strength of the anchor.

Wedge anchors and expansion anchors are designed for solid concrete anchoring applications. They should never be used in masonry applications.
