Plastic Conical Anchors
Plastic conical anchors provide strong anchoring points when we want to hang light objects such as pictures, mirrors, paintings and such on our walls to add color to the room. Plastic conical anchors are perfect for inserting screws and bolts into drywall and concrete. The soft plastic molds to the hole's texture making a secure mount.
Plastic conical anchors, also called plastic wall anchors as you may have already concluded, can be used on concrete, brick, tile, plaster, drywall, and others. This is also ideal for concrete, brick and block base materials. Plastic conical anchors are designed for us with light to mid-weight fixtures for light duty static applications wherein holding strength is not very critical; thus, this is not recommended for overhead applications.
The installation of a plastic wall anchor is relatively easy. First, drill a hole (preferably with a hammer drill) with the right size of bit. Second, clean the hole and insert the anchor into it. Depending on the type of anchor, this can be pushed, twisted or hammered in to ensure that it is in place. Third, insert the screw which pushes the threads of the anchor against the inner wall of the hole for better anchorage.
